Garbage Collection

Ledyard provides curbside collection of household garbage and recyclables.  Sterling Superior Services is the Town's contractor for these services.  Additional information is available on the Curbside Collection page. Please note:

  • To see your collection day, view the Garbage Collection Schedule
  • Be sure to have your garbage and recycling at curbside no later than 7:00 am

Bulky Waste Pick-up

Ledyard offers two (2) bulky waste pick-ups per calendar year on an on-call basis.  This service is also provided by Sterling Superior Services

  • For bulky waste pick-ups (two per calendar year) call the contractor directly:  Sterling Superior Services, (800) 391-3592
  • Remember - bulky waste pick-ups are for small amounts of material - not major renovations or construction projects

Transfer Station
Ledyard also operates a Trasfer Station geared toward residential users.  The Transfer Station receives acceptable waste from Ledyard properties only.  Specific information on services at the Transfer Station is available on the Transfer Station page.
